When I was recovering, I found that I was continually told to rest but that even when lying down nothing felt like a rest. Sometimes the more I was in bed, the less I felt rested.
So here is a soothing guided audio meditation for you to help you begin to find true restoration on your path to healing. If you would like to try it, you don’t have to do anything except press play. There is no wrong way to have this experience, and there is no wrong way to be.

When I was bedbound I was in a continual state of Fight, Flight, Freeze. I never felt rested, even after so much endless lying down. I finally gave up on my old concept of resting, and found a way to get some true restoration by listening to something that helped my mind whilst I lay there. It was the beginning of regulating my nervous system and a glimmer of understanding of the Mindbody connection.
